We’re in the process of migrating our previous features requests to this new area of the website. There may be existing requests that are not yet listed below, and we thank you for your patience during the migration.
Have the ability to change a budget category from a discretionary to mandatory expense (and vice-versa)
For example – "toys" falls under the childcare category, which is a mandatory expense in the budget. However, it would be beneficial to be able to categorize "toys" as a discretionary expense instead.
There are several other budget categories that would be nice to move from discretionary to mandatory/vice-versa, so ideally it would be awesome if users could assign each budget category as discretionary or mandatory based on their priorities.

The workaround for this would be to just manually create a “Toys” subcategory under a discretionary category like “Shopping”.
